Mini Whistlers!

Today we had some visitors from the FA, Trevor and Nigel. Trevor used to be an Assistant Referee in the Premier League, where he worked for 12 years.

The message they came in to deliver was “Always respect everyone”. We discussed the role of referees and how they have a similar role to parents, teachers and even the police.

The children drew what they thought referees looked like and then got a chance to learn the signals that Assistant Referees use on the line before putting their refereeing skills into practice in game situations. The children all behaved really well and it really was nice to see so many City shirts among my class 🙂
