Christmas Crafternoon

While the rest of the school was at the pantomime, reception and nursery hosted the annual, foundation stage Christmas Crafternoon. All our parents and families were invited to join us for a drink and a mince pie before listening to a Christmas story and taking part in some creative activities. This year, children were able to build a dough snowman, write and decorate a letter to Father Christmas, make a paper chain or a wreath to hang on the door, create a decoration to hang on the tree and print some fairy lights. There were also lots of Christmas colouring sheets and baskets full of Christmas stories to enjoy.

Can you tell us about your favourite Christmas story? Mine is ‘The Snowman’ by Raymond Briggs because I would love it if a snowman could really come to life.
