Hi Year 3! As we are studying ‘What makes the earth angry?’ in geography and ‘Rocks’ in science, we are giving you an optional piece of homework for this half term.
We would like you to make a model of a volcano. How you choose to do this is completely up to you. In the past, we have had volcanoes made from papier mache, Lego, digital sources like Minecraft, and so on. We have also had information posters made, for those with limited craft supplies. Feel free to be imaginative and creative! Several children also brought in products that would make it look like the volcano was erupting (usually baking soda and vinegar or Coke and Mentos), which we displayed in class!
The deadline will be the end of this half term, so Friday 23rd October.
If you have any questions, digital submissions, or experiments done at home which you would like to share, please send them to year3@greswell.tameside.sch.uk
